When I tried to modify my message that I had posted a couple hours ago, the board reply that it is became "old" and there is no access to it. I had the same problem once, when my message was one day "old". Does anyone have similar problem? And how soon our messages face the "retirement age"? Olga P.S. And where is the spellchecker button? Now everyone can judge my "origins" by my linguistic mistakes. ;0))))) |

The forum is set up to allow messages to be edited or deleted within one hour of being posted, which is plenty of time to notice any mistakes and to correct them. I think that there may be some confusion about this policy due to my own negligence. :-) I don't always have time to monitor the forum regularly (like when I am at work), so sometimes, I won't see a message that needs to be edited until after the hour is up. I can easily delete messages of any age from the admin panel, but I really prefer to just snip inappropriate words when I can so that the majority of the message is left intact. When this happens, I change the forum settings so that I can edit older messages, and if someone else tries to edit there own older message before I change the settings back, they are also able to edit their message. I have noticed this happening a lot, so I imagine that it has caused confusion about the official policy. Olga, I don't know where the spell checker went! I think that I may have finally fixed the AOL problem today, but I am wondering if somehow I managed to accidently delete the spell checker in the process. :-( I will look into it.
