Maybe this time we'll get some answers - never have before but just to remind everyone a dialogue has been offered to this joker.
from October last year
The recently appeared s3ntry has taken over the apologist role previously pursued by a poster calling themselves Factual, whose presence here was characterised by never responding to questions and referenced all her/his answers to the criticism of Rawat either to unnamed sources at EV or to the tprf web site.
Lets see if s3ntry can do any better.
This article has ZERO credibility. Any idiot can post an article in Indymedia.... The value of that fake "article" is equal to the value of the bits with which it was written: ZERO. Whoever wrote it must feel "empowered"... and probably excited about his "dissinformation plan", but anyone with any understanding will know that is all BS.
First lets acknowledge that s3entry is right about indymedia, in that anyone can post there - although there is an editorial team that will correct errors and remove articles that break the site's publishing code, this editorial is exercised with a very light hand and the main qualification is that an article should have relevance to India, South Asia and its people.
However the Three Faces 'article' is not a 'fake' as s3entry claims - it is clearly identified as a 'Media Release', it is not copyrighted, it has a clear e mail contact for those wishing copies of documentary evidence AND sources of opposing views on Rawat, Elan Vital and EPO, are both listed.
So first question s3entry ...
Here we go again with the "free press" misconception. If its free, if it is on the web... it must be true.... not so...
s3entry is quite right to ridicule the idea that just because something is written does not mean it is true. As the Media Release offers connections to supporting information and contrary views, it is difficult to understand what relevance s3entry thinks this truism has, but hey ho !
Fact is that support for Prem Rawat is growing not diminshing as you all claim. It has never been greater. The number of people to which he introduced his message this year is at record heights.... Like it or not... that is the truth... sorry guys to pop your balloon...
Careful reading of the Media Release will reveal the words diminish or diminishing do not anywhere appear in the text. The word haemorrhaged is used in relation to the numbers following Rawat outside India. The Media Release does not anywhere comment on whether a new intake is exceeding the losses to Ex ism, interested parties can pursue the listed sources to establish that situation for themselves. Given that the cult's claim for the number of premies back in the 70s were in the order of millions, s3entry's claim that It has never been greater seems a rather wild exaggeration. Still lets have a look at some figures from Elan Vital
Attendance at Amarroo
September 1999 April 2000 April 2002 September 2002
4636 4632 2923 2879
Rawat's European Tour 2003
Total attendance at 17 performances at 7 different venues is claimed to be 37501. However with the same 4000 premies accounting for around 12000 individual attendances at the five London events and some 3000 premies accounting for 9000 individual attendances at the Madrid events, plus non premie guests attending two performances at a rate of around 77% - a very generous assessment sees Rawat attracting less than 15,000 individuals. In fact because Bristol and London shared visitorship and Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid and Salamanca shared visitorship the figure is much lower still. Further, as the age profile of attendees, guests as well as premies, is so decidedly middle aged, Rawat's support base is facing a demographic time bomb. Replacement of losses to Ex-ism is increasingly being matched by losses to mortality. Allowing a very generous 10,000 European premie population and a premie lifetime of 50 years, if the age profile of European premies matched the population average then Rawat would need a recruitment rate of just 220 initiates per year - with hard-core premies averaging well over forty years of age a recruitment rate closer to 550 per year is needed just to stand still.
Second question to s3entry ...
You guys get a 10 out of 10 on inuendo.... Bush and his accomplices can surely learn a thing or two about propaganda and manipulation.
It's difficult to understand what it is that s3entry believes to be inuendo. Is he referring to Rawat's meat eating, alcohol consumption or marital infidelity - these issues have all been touched on numerous times on the forums.
Third question to s3entry ...
Fourth question to s3entry ....
Fifth question to s3entry ....
Sixth question to s3entry ....
Will s3entry take up the challenge to answer these questions ?, will Factual ? will any premie ? In fact can they ? Or does the level mental contortion demanded of them effectively paralyse their critical faculties ? If Knowledge is so fantastic how come not a single premie can provide an adequate answer to these simple questions ?
Nik
If as you claim support for Rawat is growing, is that not reason why contributors to this site should not redouble their efforts to challenge what we understand to be a manifest fraud ? Is the reason you posted here not to pop our balloon but to persuade visiting premies that all is well in Rawat world ? Do you believe that the Amaroo project and Elan Vital Incorporated(Aus.) stand up to financial and moral examination ? And how do you justify the application of £302,046 of UK Charitable Funds to a project that has no discernible philanthropic benefit ? If you consider posting a Media Release and then referring to that release as if it were a published article will you offer your unequivocal criticism of The Prem Rawat Foundation which has been using the its web site and the PR Newswire service in exactly this fashion for most of 2003 ? Are you saying that Rawat's liking of meat and alcohol is not deliberately kept from being exposed to his Indian followers ? Are you saying that he does not have a mistress or that never have any of his female followers been encouraged to have a sexual relationship with him ? Or do you believe that it is in someway morally wrong to address questions such as these about an 'inspirational speaker' ? Given the above figures where is the evidence for growth in support for Rawat ? And do you really contend that a mere 7,000 guests represents : The number of people to which he introduced his message this year is at record heights ? When will EV's promotional material start listing EPO as appropriate reading so that prospective initiates can get a balanced view of the Rawat cult ?
