Asking for prayers

A friend on another board is frantically looking for her 16yodd.  Dd and a 17yo girl friend went to a movie yesterday at 2pm and they never made it home.  Please pray for her calm and dd's safe return.

But I found that as I prayed, I was just saying, "Please let Christ come quickly."  This world has gotten to be such an evil place.... yes, there is good in the midst, but the evil is becoming so vast.

A little girl was snatched from her family's 4 of July celebrations... her family heard her cry out, ran to look in time to see a grey van take off, and she is gone.  The whole community here has been looking for her... 11 years old, I weep to think what she might have gone through. There are few happy endings for these things.

This fills me with dread.

I will offer up prayers.

Bless you all.

You are wonderful!

It looks like she is a run-away.  Her parents and mom of the other girl have put up fliers all over town and have gotten some clues, leads that indicate the girls are around, just staying away from anyone that might get them back to their parents.  And it looks like (from witness accounts) the 17yo has a "new" boyfriend--as scraggly-haired older boy who might be the catalyst in all of this.

It's a relief but also very sad--that she'd put her family through all of this and that this is how she handles her problems.
