A growing company in the Alpharetta area is seeking an experienced and qualified Russian and English speaking, Freight Forwarder. Must have at least 3-5 years experience. Company overview: The company works with major U.S. automotive products manufacturers. The company ships from either their warehouse in Alpharetta, GA, or directly from the manufacturers using the ports of New York, Baltimore, Norfolk, and Savannah. Company ships mainly to Russia (via Kotka, Finland), Lithuania (via Kaunas), Ukraine (via Berlin). Company ships just over 100 40ft containers of their own products per year currently, and volumes will definitely increase once we begin operations and our customer base grows. They don't have a broker in house, but work with an outside broker. Job duties: This position requires negotiating, arranging, tracking, logging, and problem-solving for international freight; mostly ocean, but also air. Creating bills of lading, commercial invoices, export declarations, etc. General international freight forwarding experience is mandatory. Candidates will be establishing everything from the ground up. This includes getting suppliers, negotiating rates, etc. Office is in a nice, new building in a newer development. Relatively small company. Salary is very competitive and Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid vacation, and, in some cases, opportunities for equity or other profit sharing.
