Hello, I reacently found some old shots of me from roughy 1996-1997. These pics represent probably the last of my Moo practice, as I was well into Kung Fu at the time. You will notice some classic Moo structural problems in these old shots, very similar to problems I have critiqued in Jerry Barfeild in the past. In this first Pic, you will see a little bit of back arch in the lumbar area, and some mis weighting in the pictured foot. it is much better than Jerry's pics though, but by my standards today, still sux. It is not too bad if it was suposed to be modern Wu Shu though. This was taken at a tournment I did a public demmo at. Although I demmoed mostly Kung fu forms, I did do several short Chung moo forms at the request of several of the other instructors who wanted to see what the big deal with CMQ was. The shot was taken by the Father of one of my older students who I had trained in the CMQ system prior to my total conversion to a Kung Fu Curriculem. Forms demoed were Tong Who(Who yong bope now?) Pyun Su, Yuck Chung (2nd 5 step Chung), Pargey and Dodoji # 1. Somewhere, I have footage of the entire demo. It was pretty spectacular as I could REALLY move back then. If I ever find it, I may digitise it into a clip for you all to see. Tournament demo

The last Pic was taken in 97 and is of my daughter at age 7. I threw this in just to show how easy it is to do the positions that the moo so highly prizes. We are looking at a 7 year old who is in almost perfect moo position. Like all the other Moo Pics, her back is arched. Today, at 12 her structure is much better, and she can hold the posture with propper structure. Again, other than her hips are not turned enough, and her shoulder is raised a bit, this is a damm good posture by Moo standards. You can look at thier site, and defenetly find similar examples of thier higher belts. However, by the standards of any authentic Kung fu style this is pretty bad (Well, not bad for a 7 year old, but you get what I mean) RD's Daughter
