This engine was designed completly by a computer for Chrysler by Misubishi.

No humans were invoved in the process. What a mistake.

The oil flow & water flow is screwd up because of this.

also the computer put componets that would meet specification and that it.

No consideration for extended life was considered.

Hence Rod bearing that only last 80k miles.

Humans would have designed  thicker harder bearings.

A good friend of mine worked for chrysler and the objective input put in the computer was a engine that would run vertialy maintance free for 100k miles.

It looks like the computer design had a -20k to + 20k tolrance range.

I beat the odds because I run Mobil 1 synthetic oil and change it every 3k miles and only use the orange antifreeze.
